The UQDI offers a number of ways to involve the community in its research.

These range from specially designed research immersion programs for Year 11 and 12 students (SPARQ-ed), sessions for primary school students and visits to community groups to talk about our work.

We also offer the opportunity for community members to partner with us by supporting and promoting our research activities. Please contact us if you would like to learn more about how you can become involved.

Wonder of Science

The Wonder of Science program is building knowledge, passion and enthusiasm for science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) in Queensland’s young people. It is creating aspiration for STEM education – thus generating capacity for technical innovation in Queensland and ultimately, Australia.

As a community oriented research organisation, The University of Queensland Diamantina Institute recognises and greatly values its alumni.
