Paul ClarkePaul Clarke’s Bio: Professor Paul Clarke is Director of The University of Queensland Diamantina Institute (UQDI) at TRI. His research interests are the molecular mechanisms of cell division, chromosome instability and mitotic cell death. He also carries out research into the cellular responses to anti-cancer drugs. Paul started his research career as a student at the University of Bristol and he continued to study protein phosphorylation for his PhD at the University of Dundee. Subsequently he was a research fellow investigating the control of the cell cycle at the European Molecular Biology Laboratory, Heidelberg, and a senior research fellow at the University of Manchester. Paul joined UQ in 2017 from Dundee where he was latterly Professor of Cancer Cell Biology and Associate Dean (Research) in the School of Medicine. Paul has received research fellowships from The Wellcome Trust, Cancer Research UK, Medical Research Council and The Royal Society in the UK. His research is currently supported by UQ and the Australian Research Council.
