Researcher biography

Liisa Murray graduated with Bachelor in Biomedical Science from Griffith University, Brisbane, Australia in 2009. In her last year she completed a research project evaluating the medicinal properties of an Australian native plant Scaevola spinescens. Afterwards, she moved back to her native country Finland and completed master studies in Translational medicine. For her master research project she studied the protein-protein interactions for gremlin and fibrillin and also participated in malaria research. She graduated in 2012 with Master of Science in Translational Medicine from University of Helsinki. In 2014 she started a PhD project at the Lung and Allergy research group with the topic TLR7 and TLR8 association with Antiviral Immune response in Asthma.
