As a team of nearly 300 researchers, students and support staff, we are dedicated to improving the detection and management of severe and chronic diseases, such as skin cancer and blood cancer, arthritis and diabetes. We place particular emphasis on translation of research into new and innovative therapies and diagnostic methods that will make a difference to wellbeing.

We undertake innovative, ground-breaking research into the autoimmunity, cancer biology, and genomic medicine fields.
Our researchers work across a range of projects, including cancer, arthritis, diabetes, infection and bone and joint diseases. Our researchers are committed to finding novel therapies for these diseases.
We welcome students from a range of backgrounds, including practising clinicians, Doctor of Medicine students and Honours/Masters graduates with a background in biological, biomedical or mathematical sciences.
